Safety at the Gas Pumps 101
Remain outside your vehicle during fueling to avoid creating a static charge - Do not get back into your car during fueling.
Stop engine/do not restart engine while fueling - Leaving your vehicle running or restarting during fueling could result in a flash fire.
No smoking or use of lighters during fueling - could cause a fire.
No children allowed to dispense fuel - results are fuel spillage/or fire.
Do not remove nozzle if a fire starts - If a fire occurs during fueling leave the nozzle in the fill pipe. The fire will practically go out by itself in the pump is turned off.
